How You Can Support the Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia?
2025-2026 Board Approved Fund-Raising Initiatives
1. Contribute as a ‘Friend of the Folk Pottery Museum’ enabling free museum access.
Contribution amount: $50
Benefit: Your contribution as a Friend of the Folk Pottery Museum enables us to offer free entrance to all museum visitors year-round, including you and your family.
2. Purchase a customized 6”x6” clay tile bearing your name for our Pottery Studio wall
One Time Contribution amount: $35
Benefit: Your customized 6”x6” tile bearing your name will be combined with other tiles for form a large mosaic adorning an interior wall of the new Pottery Studio. These funds will enable the purchase of potter’s wheels and instructional materials.
3. Become a named life-time patron of the museum by joining the ‘FPM Clay Circle’
One time Contribution amount: $1,000 or more
Benefit: ‘FPM’ is our Folk Pottery Museum. ‘Clay’ is the medium central to our mission. ‘Circle’ is our combined sense of community. Joining the ‘FPM Clay Circle’ enables us to use your unrestricted donation to enhance our facility and collection, deliver programs and exhibits to the community, and enrich our visitors' experience. Your name will be promoted at our museum and special events.
4. Contribute a ‘Capital Campaign’ Gift
1) Funding Requirement: $40,000 – Contributions up to $40,000 will cover the final capital costs for our new Pottery Studio building.
2) Funding Requirement: $38,000 – Contributions up to $38,000 will cover the final capital costs associated with pottery kilns and potter wheels.
3) Funding Requirement: $25,000 per year – Contribute up to $25,000 each year to support our Folk Pottery Acquisition Fund to purchase new pottery pieces for the museum.
5. Contribute a Foundational Gift for Remote Educational Outreach
Annual Funding Requirement: $24,000 – This amount will support twelve remote pottery exhibits to local schools and community events annually in our region.
Benefit: By funding our community outreach programs, you help us provide educational opportunities while preserving, expanding, and showcasing our folk pottery collection for future generations.
6. Donate an outdoor pottery planting vessel for our Outdoor Courtyard Garden.
